Teenager First Aid
Education & Action Center
This website is dedicated to educating teenagers on the importance of CPR and AEDs during emergency situations. As young adults, it is crucial to have a basic understanding of first aid techniques such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Knowing how to properly administer these life-saving techniques can mean the difference between life and death in an emergency.
Why Teenagers
Need First Aid Training
Studies have shown that quick action and appropriate use of CPR and AEDs can significantly increase the chances of survival for someone experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. In fact, according to the American Heart Association, effective CPR, when performed immediately after cardiac arrest, can double or even triple a person's chance of survival.
By learning about CPR and AEDs, teenagers can become confident in their ability to respond appropriately in an emergency situation. This knowledge can also provide a sense of comfort knowing that they have the skills to potentially save someone's life.
